As you all now, on 24th of September 2019 the long awaited CentOS 8 has been released.
It can be downloaded via the official CentOS page.
If you’re just looking for a CentOS 8 x86_64 image, download it from here.

Rumors about the release date of Centos 8 have been rowing our boats for a while now, however I wasn’t expecting it to be out so soon. Not after the recent release of update 7.7 for the previous distro.
Later edit: myself I still use the latest distribution of Centos 7 in production and use it mostly as tool box for day to day duties. I primarily use it for nmap, fping, some automation with bash/expect scripts as well as python (but more on this on a different topic).
Good luck,
N
